David Emmerich is a Senior Consultant at CMG with over 20 years of success in high tech product, organization and market development.  He advises startup, mid-size and global firms that provide equipment, software or services for energy efficient, demand response, and smart buildings.

David is also Managing Partner with PACE Equity, a national provider of project financing for energy efficiency in commercial buildings.  Previously, David was Director of Industry Marketing and Director of Professional Services for Noesis Energy (an VC-funded SaaS startup) where he built the company’s network of over 200 channel partners and originated over 225 energy efficiency projects for commercial and industrial buildings.  Before Noesis, he led the product management, marketing and technical service groups for the Control Solutions division of Hubbell, Inc., a global provider of commercial electrical equipment. After receiving his MBA, he was Product Line Manager at Lucent Technologies where he managed the full lifecycle and held P&L responsibility for over 4,000 enterprise fiber optic products and was awarded a patent for flexible optical circuit design and manufacturing.  David started his career as an R&D engineer at Alcatel Telecommunications, where he developed and implemented new processes for manufacturing optical fiber for operations in the US and France.

David is a graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with an MBA concentrating in corporate strategy.  While at Emory, he served at the Chief Executive Leadership Institute and at United Parcel Service’s Corporate Strategy Group.  His undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology is in Materials Engineering with a focus on high-temperature superconductors.  David lives in the beautiful Austin Hill Country with his wife and their three boys.
